How people treat you is their karma, how you react is yours. -Wayne W. Dyer

I recently started a new job a couple months ago and as most of us know, there are always a few bad apples at every work place. In my case, there is one bad apple who, evidently, always attempts to sabotage new employees. As to be expected, after a few weeks she began to indirectly mess with me and my work. Well, not too long after she began her childish antics – she was robbed and had several valuables stolen. Now, I do not take pleasure in other’s troubles, but I couldn’t help but think about how karma always proves itself to be true.

When you have ill intent or commit grievous acts towards someone, you are setting yourself up to receive the same negative energy in return. What we put out into the world – we get back at some point. This is why, for the life of me, I can’t understand why some people insist on coming from a place of deceit and ill will instead of a place of honesty and love. Naturally, I always try to do the right thing by others. I just can’t do something to someone that I would not want them to do to me. I understand that this might be difficult at times for some, but if the thought of negativity coming back to you is not a deterrent for bad actions…then what is?

This is why I’m going to continue to be transparent and lead with love because I’ve realized that my reaction affects my karma too. When you let another person’s actions take you to a low place of wanting to “get even”, that thinking puts you in a negative mind set. This mind set then causes you to send out unfavorable energy which at some point you will get back. I just try to remember that all of my actions have karmic reactions and I want them to be balanced!
